70th Anniversary - BOVTC drive on membership

posted 5 Feb 2016, 04:50 by Marc Pepperell

Our 70th anniversary year presents an ideal opportunity to increase membership of what is widely regarded as a very active club, with an interesting and varied programme of activities, most of which are free to members.

Recruiting new members is our top priority for 2016. The committee is seeking new ways to raise awareness of what the Theatre Club offers to anyone who is interested in theatre.

We begin with taking the opportunity of the high profile In Conversation with Lesley Manville and Jeremy Irons. BOV’s Box Office will invite people buying tickets to join the Theatre Club.

We ask Theatre Club members to be active in spotting opportunities to talk to friends, family and colleagues about how much you enjoy your membership.  Why not encourage them to join you at the many events which are open to guests, to experience them at first hand?  They may then consider joining for the very modest membership fee which is currently £15 for an individual, £27 for two people at the same address.  (Fees rise to £18/£32 from 1 April.)

Please do what you can to help us boost numbers especially of younger people to ensure we continue to have a vibrant and active membership who are able to enjoy and take part in running the Theatre Club well into the future.
