 The Theatre Club has always supported the Bristol Old Vic and the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in a variety of ways. In recent years it has been more active than ever in raising money. Sponsored walks, silent auctions and quiz nights have all been added to the Theatre Club's diary of events.
The Bristol Old Vic invited the Theatre Club to sponsor a series of major fund-raising events specifically to help its Redevelopment Appeal.You can help the Appeal by purchasing a print of ‘Auditorium of the Theatre Royal‘. Details in the link below. The celebrated programme Shakespeare and Stratford was a case in point, which starred Martin Best, Dame Judi Dench, Jane Lapotaire, Barbara Leigh-Hunt and Richard Pasco. On Sunday 15 March 2009, the Theatre Club presented a gala piano recital An Evening with Allan Schiller at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre. It was a great success and all the proceeds will go to the Redevelopment Fund.
