Links with organisations

Bristol Old Vic Theatre Club operates independently of Bristol Old Vic and Bristol Old Vic Theatre School but supports them both in many practical ways.

Bristol Old Vic

The Theatre Club helps to:

    • publicise the productions and activities of Bristol Old Vic

    • promote interest in Bristol Old Vic and its work

    • provide administrative and other support for various activities, such as Open Days at Bristol Old Vic

    • organise fund raising events

    • maintain awareness of Bristol Old Vic heritage

    • provide and research archival information concerning Bristol Old Vic

    • liaise with Engagement and the Young Company to give support to their activities

Bristol Old Vic Theatre School

Bristol Old Vic Theatre Club is proud of its long association with the Theatre School, we were founded in the same year! We seek to promote an understanding and passion for high quality theatre and are particularly keen to promote theatre for and by young people.

Through our close links with the School we help publicise and encourage Members to attend their regular productions. The Theatre Club awards annual prizes to outstanding students and organises occasional social events for staff and students. Each edition of News! includes articles and news written by Theatre School staff and students.

Tobacco Factory Theatres and The Wardrobe Theatre

The Wardrobe Theatre and Tobacco Factory Theatres host some Theatre Club events.

We regularly invite The Wardrobe Theatre Fan Club, Friends of Tobacco Factory Theatres and Friends of Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory to Theatre Club events.

The Theatre Club also supports the work of:

Alma Tavern

Bristol Musical Societies

Clevedon Players

Kelvin Players

St Albans Players
